 Activision has announced that those who have purchased Guitar Hero III for the Nintendo Wii and experiencing the surround sound issue can request a Free Replacement Disc direct from Activision by (866) 780-8286 from 8:00am-8:00pm EST, Monday-Friday, and they will notify you once the replacement discs are available.

I really don't like having to be without my game for so long even though I play the 360 version more. But still, for those people who play it all the time have to wait 4 to 6 weeks to receive the good game disc back.

You should have waited because now Activision has another option besides mailing the disk back. You ship them the the whole GH3 set and they will pay you $132.

I didn't see anything on it that says they will pay $132. They might refund you the cost and throw in a free game, but that would be about it.

Because of the sound issue, Activision and RedOctane are sending out those who request the replacement disc a Free Guitar Hero Guitar Face Plate. Received mine last week which was kind of a sun setting with palm trees. Looks pretty cool.
